Dr. Lee Overstreet, DDS, PLLC
“I treat people the way I want to be treated!”
This is Dr. Overstreet’s mission statement and it’s how he runs his practice. He has traveled the world but feels right at home in Corpus Christi, surrounded by military families, native Texans, and transplants like himself. He was raised in a military family and joined the U.S. Army where he flew combat missions for almost two years in Vietnam. After Vietnam, Dr. Overstreet graduated cum laude from the University of North Texas in 1975. In 1979, he received a U.S. Navy Scholarship and attended dental school at the University of Texas Health Sciences at San Antonio. Once he was commissioned, he traveled the world while serving the troops as their dentist in New Orleans, Puerto Rico, The Bahamas, Mississippi, Newfoundland, Virginia (where he completed an Advanced General Dentistry program), and ship duties. After just over 20 years in uniform, he retired as a Commander.
Dr. Overstreet has been in private practice in Corpus Christi since 1993 and his commitment to honesty and quality has earned him the trust of patients and esteem of his peers for over two decades. He has performed thousands of root canals and placed just as many crowns in his career. He is the past president of the Nueces Valley District Dental Society, as well as the past president of the Corpus Christi Dental Study Club. He is a Senior Delegate to the Texas Dental Association.
He and his wife Kathy Jo have been married for over 45 years and together they raised four children, including a successful endodontist who owns a practice in Austin, TX. Their home is rarely empty as they enjoy frequent visits from their many grandchildren and during the week you can usually find them at Macaroni Grill meeting old and new friends. Dr. Overstreet loves to visit the Hill Country during hunting season and never met an outdoorsman who’s a stranger.
